Asian Antiques
Asian antiques covers a many different cultures, Japanese, Chinese, Tibetan and Mongolian just to name a few. There is something different about Asian Antiques than other antiques from all around the world.

Tibetan art is very colorful and very ancient looking at the same time. Some period pieces from early 20th century Tibet is made from Fir and Pine. Cabinets are the most beautiful, be careful when buying these from some dealers because some have pieces of furniture they have from 1920’s and 30’s but a true antique is over 100 years old. Get any authenticity papers that come with each piece.
Another great part of Asian Antiques are Buddha statues. Some of these statues date back to the early 1800’s and they really are quite beautiful. They are popular in antiques because they have a meaning to them, they symbolize religion back then and they still do in Asian Culture.
Other great pieces of Asian antiques are object such as cabinets or tables have mother of pearl decorating began with the Tang Dynasty of 618 to 907 and then it turned in to an art form called Najeon Chiligi which lasted from 918 to 1392.
