Antiques Clocks

Antique clocks are one of the most popular items of antiques that you can find. There are so many to choose from. There is beautiful Boulle Louis XIV style of clocks; these clocks were used a lot in the 17th and early 18th centuries. These clocks should have a time period of 1880-1890. These special clocks are made with brass inlaid and tortoise. They have Roman Numerals and two brass dragons perched on the side of the clock. These particular clocks are wall mounted. 

Mechanical or Grandfather clocks are great. One special type of these clocks is the large German Barrel Organ Clock. It stands 96 inches in height and is made from the most beautiful mahogany. The clock dial is about 12 inches in diameter. These clocks are circ 1800’s.

English clocks are very beautiful; you can see the mechanical works which are set in a cabinet in the bottom of the clock. French, Vienna, Austrian and American Antique clocks are most widely known and if you check with your local antique dealer you can be sure to find one.

There are some of the finest antiques in the world being sold every day; here are some of them that have been purchased in the past. Pendule de cheminée française from Louis the XVI, this clock has a circulation time period of 1780 and a signature of the maker is Renard A Reims. It is a beautiful brass and white marble pedestal clock with figurines on the bottom.  Pendule Neuchâteloise is a rare clock that is from Louis XIII it has a circulation date of 1750.

This is a mechanical clock and it definitely is more of the most exciting antique clocks we have seen. Pendule Neuchâteloise Louis XV is a wall hanging clock that is also being hailed rare clock. This clock also is circa 1750. These clocks may be one of a kind clocks but the magnitude of the clocks that have been restored from the past is amazing. Antique clock are beautiful to look at. They cost a lot because of their age. Wouldn’t it be nice to own.
